Whispers at Sunset

Taken from Cascade on a -10 degree day, we waited at the summit for Giant to bask in the late afternoon sun. The wind chilled us to our core, but the sun was warm and inviting. We nestled in a small rocky nook and enjoyed the increasingly beautiful sunset. Giant was my first High Peak and holds a very special place in my heart.  Hiked in early April, I always look for it along the horizon any time I get a good open view.
